50 Cent Names Tems’ ‘Me & U’ His Favourite Song

American rap icon Curtis James Jackson III, popularly known as 50 Cent, has recently shared his current favourite song in a viral interview. The hip-hop legend disclosed that Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Tems’ track ‘Me & U’ has been his go-to song.

“My current song on repeat is ‘Me & U’ by Tems,” 50 Cent revealed.

The track ‘Me & U’ is the lead single from Tems’ debut studio album Born In The Wild. It sparked controversy after it won the Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2024 BET Awards.

“Critics questioned the decision, arguing that a secular artist like Tems shouldn’t have won against gospel legends like Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, and Shirley Caesar.”

Despite the debate, ‘Me & U’ continues to garner praise for its unique blend of themes and genres, pushing the boundaries of gospel and secular music.
