Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, widely known by his stage name Shallipopi, has revealed that he is currently taking a “break” from smoking. The artist, famous for his hit track “Pluto Presido,” shared this update through a video on his Snapchat during a recent vacation.
In the video, Shallipopi advised his fellow smokers to occasionally step away from the habit, emphasizing the importance of taking breaks for better well-being.
He expressed:
“No be everytime you go dey smoke igbo, sometimes take a break. I am on break now. I am feeling good.”
This announcement adds Shallipopi to a growing list of Nigerian celebrities who have publicly addressed their relationship with smoking. Notably, stars like Tonto Dikeh, Don Jazzy, Terry G, Faze, Dr. Sid, and Kizz Daniel have all previously announced quitting smoking. However, some have later returned to the habit, with Terry G and Kizz Daniel confirming their relapse on social media.
