Show Dem Camp, The Cavemen, and David Nsikak Unite for Groundbreaking Album "No Love In Lagos"

Nigerian hip-hop pioneers Show Dem Camp have joined forces with highlife virtuosos The Cavemen and guitar maestro David Nsikak for a collaborative album that is set to reshape the Afro-fusion landscape. Released on August 9, 2024, the ten-track album, No Love In Lagos, blends the gritty storytelling of Show Dem Camp with The Cavemen’s neo-highlife rhythms and Nsikak’s masterful guitar work.

No Love In Lagos is a sonic journey that showcases the seamless fusion of genres. Show Dem Camp’s soul-stirring rap flows effortlessly alongside The Cavemen’s infectious highlife beats, all enhanced by Nsikak’s enchanting strings. “Collaboration is everything in the Afrobeats scene. It takes the music to places you’d never expect,” says Tec, one-half of Show Dem Camp.

The album features powerhouse contributions from artists like Obongjayar, Tim Lyre, Moelogo, and Ruti, with production helmed by the renowned super-producer Spax. This project marks a unique collaboration between two of Nigeria’s leading alternative music duos.

Show Dem Camp has long been more than just a music group; they’ve spearheaded a cultural movement. Their Palmwine Festival, launched in 2017, has become a cornerstone of Nigeria’s music scene, drawing together top artists like Burna Boy, Tems, and Tay Iwar. Meanwhile, The Cavemen have ignited a highlife renaissance, merging traditional sounds with modern innovation.

With No Love In Lagos, Show Dem Camp, The Cavemen, and David Nsikak push the boundaries of Nigerian music, showcasing their immense talent and redefining what Afro-fusion can be.
