Social Media Critic VeryDarkMan Criticizes President Tinubu’s Daughter

Martin Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has sharply criticized Folashade Tinubu, the daughter of President Bola Tinubu, over her recent comments urging Nigerians to give her father three years before evaluating his performance.

In her statement, Folashade called for public patience and discouraged participation in the upcoming hunger protest scheduled from August 1 to 10.

Reacting to her remarks in a video released on Monday, VeryDarkMan expressed strong disapproval, accusing Folashade of ignoring the severe economic challenges Nigerians are facing under her father’s administration.

“People would not be complaining if your father’s first year in office wasn’t the worst in Nigeria’s presidential history,” VeryDarkMan stated.

He urged Folashade to convince her father to address the growing economic issues and avoid exacerbating the situation. He also pointed out that Tinubu himself had opposed fuel price hikes during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, suggesting that similar protests are justified now due to the current government’s policies.

While condemning any potential violence associated with the protests, VeryDarkMan emphasized the importance of standing up for economic rights.

“Warn your father. Tell him that Nigerians are suffering. Did you warn him when he protested against Goodluck Jonathan’s fuel price increase from N65 to N87? I don’t approve of violent protests, but Nigerians must stand for their rights. Protest, but don’t loot. Look at the prices of things. Fuel is over N700 and still scarce. You can’t increase prices and still have shortages,” he added.
