Popular singer Yemi Alade has shared her strategy for navigating the entertainment industry without getting entangled in controversies. Speaking at her ‘Rebel Queen’ album listening party in Lagos, Alade disclosed how she manages to stay above the fray.
Alade, known for her hit song “Johnny,” emphasized the importance of not letting others’ opinions affect her.
“I don’t think about it [negative criticisms] too much. I’m just living my life because it’s only one life I’ve,” she said.
She further explained that her approach to handling negative feedback is straightforward: she ignores it.
“Once I see or hear anything that doesn’t resonate with me, I look the other way and I keep it moving. Because everybody is entitled to their opinions.”
This mindset has helped Alade maintain a controversy-free presence in the often turbulent entertainment world.
