Caroline Hutchings Opens Up: “I Lost My Identity and Dreams After Divorce”

“I lost my identity and dreams because of divorce. I walked away from it all for my own sanity. I started my journey from scratch facing all the fake rumors, discriminations, rejections and uncertainties at 29+ years,” she wrote.

Scottish-Nigerian actress Caroline Hutchings has revealed the profound impact of her divorce from ex-husband Musa Danjuma. In a heartfelt Instagram post on Wednesday, Hutchings shared how the split left her starting over and grappling with the loss of her identity and dreams.

Reflecting on her past, Hutchings recounted the professional roles she once embraced: a promising makeup artist, hair guru, actress, film producer, fashion consultant, and CEO of both Luxury Addict and Kinetic Media. However, the divorce drastically altered her life.

“I lost my identity and dreams because of divorce. I walked away from it all for my own sanity. I started my journey from scratch facing all the fake rumors, discriminations, rejections and uncertainties at 29+ years,” she wrote.

Hutchings described the journey as a bittersweet one, filled with challenges and uncertainties that many women in similar situations find difficult to discuss.

“A conversation that women who have walked the same path hate to talk about. A bittersweet journey to a place unknown. This is my story,” she added.

Caroline Hutchings married Musa Danjuma in 2007, and their divorce was announced in 2016 after nine years together.
