A New Era for African MMA

The PFL, already popular with its American and European circuits, is expanding its horizons. And who better to lead this exciting venture than the 37-year-old Ngannou, who believes this league will “shape the very foundation of African MMA.”

“Africa is brimming with untapped talent just waiting to shine on the global stage,” Ngannou shared. “I am incredibly proud to give back to my homeland and deliver fantastic content to a region with such a passionate and diverse fanbase.”

Ngannou’s Journey and Vision

Ngannou joined the PFL last year but has yet to make his debut for the MMA promotion. Instead, he’s been making waves in the boxing world with two high-profile fights in Saudi Arabia.

A former UFC heavyweight champion, Ngannou is among the elite group of African fighters who have clinched UFC world titles.

This new African series is more than just another league—it’s a platform designed to showcase the immense talent and passion that exists across the continent. With Ngannou at the helm, the future of African MMA looks brighter than ever.
