“Like Burna Boy, Nigerians Will Regret Not Supporting Me” – Singer Whitemoney

Reality star and singer Whitemoney believes Nigerians will regret not supporting his music career once he gains international recognition. Drawing a parallel with Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, Whitemoney highlighted how Nigerians labeled Burna Boy “proud” after he found success abroad and became less accessible to local promoters.

In a recent interview with Echoo Room, Whitemoney expressed his frustration with the lack of support from Nigerian show promoters:

“Nigerian promoters did the same thing they are doing to me to Burna Boy and Davido. They don’t believe in their sounds but when the outsiders [foreigners] are appreciating you, they [Nigerians] would be forced to now believe in you and they will pay times two.”

He warned that these promoters would regret not backing his music when he eventually succeeds globally:

“Nigerian promoters will regret not supporting my music. Your only prayer should be that I shouldn’t make it in this music industry because if I make it, you all will pay.”

Confident in his unique talent, Whitemoney declared he has no rivals in the industry:

“I’m a king in my lane. For me, nobody rivals my talent. You’re good in your way but me I am the king. That’s why I have my own genre. I don’t do Afrobeats or highlife. My genre is Kumkum.”

Whitemoney’s bold statements reflect his determination to carve out a distinct path in the music world, emphasizing his originality and potential for international acclaim.
