Rema continues to make a strong case for his place in the upper echelon of Afrobeats as he shared the stage with Canadian megastar Drake at the 2025 Wireless Festival.
The Nigerian hitmaker was brought out by Drake during the second day of the rapper’s historic three-day headlining set at the UK festival. Rema delivered a vibrant performance of his fan-favorite track “Ozeba,” taken from his Grammy-nominated sophomore album HEIS.

This moment marked a triumphant return for Rema to the Wireless stage, having previously performed there in both 2022 and 2024. However, this time around, his appearance alongside Drake added an entirely new level of global spotlight.
The collaboration rumors between the two artists first gained traction in 2024 when an unreleased track allegedly featuring Rema was among the songs in Drake’s infamous “100 Gig leak.” With their onstage chemistry now public, fans are hopeful that the collaboration might see the light of day on one of Drake’s upcoming projects, especially after he previewed a new track with Central Cee during the same festival.
If the collaboration materializes, Rema will join Wizkid and Tems as Nigerian stars who have worked with Drake, an elite club that cements international credibility.
Rema’s Wireless appearance also subtly reinforces his “Afrobeats Big 4” argument. While the genre’s “Big 3” typically includes Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, Rema has consistently asserted his place among them. During his HEIS tour, he made headlines by performing in front of wax figures of the trio, an unapologetic symbol of his arrival.
As he continues to cross borders and stages with the world’s biggest stars, Rema isn’t just staking a claim. He’s proving it.
