Nigerian global superstar Davido continues to make history beyond music, and July 7 stands as a proud reminder of just how far his influence has reached.

In 2023, the City of Houston, Texas officially declared July 7 as “Davido Day”, a symbolic recognition of his contribution to music, culture, and his impact on the global stage.
This annual celebration, initiated by the Houston Mayor’s Office, acknowledges Davido’s role in promoting Afrobeats across the world and uniting communities through his music. The proclamation was made during his Timeless Tour stop in Houston, where he was honored with a certificate from the city.
