The drama surrounding Afrobeats legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has taken a deeply personal turn, as his brother, Charly Idibia, publicly accused the singer’s new wife, Natasha Osawaru, of manipulation, emotional control, and sabotage.
In a heartfelt open letter shared online, Charly expressed concern over what he described as 2Baba’s loss of self since entering into a relationship with Natasha. He claimed that the singer, once known for his calm and grounded nature, has become isolated and unrecognizable.
Although he avoided naming Natasha directly, Charly’s letter pointed clearly at her. He alleged that she was behind the now-deleted post announcing 2Baba’s separation from Annie Idibia, and even posted a photo of herself on 2Baba’s social media, asking fans to help her pressure him into marriage while he was asleep.
According to Charly, Natasha has gained full access to the singer’s digital life, including cloning his WhatsApp, reading and deleting messages, and replying to people while pretending to be him. He also accused her of engineering 2Baba’s move from Lagos to Abuja, cutting him off from his team and businesses, and dragging him into environments that don’t reflect who he truly is.
He went on to suggest that Natasha is the force behind some of 2Baba’s recent public statements and reversals, including his retraction of a podcast comment about monogamy that sparked backlash online.
Describing her as a “psychotic fan” and a “cancerous leech,” Charly painted a picture of a woman who, under the guise of love, has slowly taken control of the singer’s life and legacy.
Despite the seriousness of his claims, Charly’s message was rooted in love and concern. He praised 2Baba as a gentle and kind soul, pleading with him to take time away from social media and reflect on the direction his life is heading.
This isn’t the first time the Idibia family has been in the public eye for relationship drama, but this latest episode brings an intimate and disturbing perspective that has fans talking. So far, neither 2Baba nor Natasha has responded publicly to the allegations.
