Rapper Ladipoe has addressed the swirling rumours of a possible feud with fellow Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck, firmly denying any tension and instead showing support for his colleague’s contribution to the culture.
In a recent interview on Line by Line, the Mavin Records star responded to speculation that a past verse of his might have contained subliminal shots aimed at Odumodublvck. According to Ladipoe, there’s no bad blood, only mutual respect.
“I like him. I feel like he’s a necessary voice,” Ladipoe said when asked directly about their relationship.
Drawing comparisons to iconic rap voices from the early 2000s, Ladipoe praised Odumodublvck for bringing a distinctive energy to the scene:

“He has a very arresting presence on tracks. He has his own flow… that kind of thing keeps rap interesting, it keeps it evolving. I respect his music, and we’ve met a few times, we have a good relationship.”
He also addressed the rumours that a particular old track of his might have been aimed at Odumodublvck:
“How? It’s an old track. I didn’t even know OD then. It just shows how relevant the lyrics still are.”
Ladipoe’s comments come at a time when rap feuds and lyrical clashes are dominating headlines in Nigerian hip hop, particularly between Odumodublvck and other contemporaries like Blaqbonez.
