“I’m an Adult and Can Do What I Like” — BBNaija’s Angel Smith Reacts to Lesbian Rumours

Reality TV star and Big Brother Naija alum Angel Smith has addressed swirling rumors about her sexuality with a bold and unapologetic response. The speculation came after videos surfaced online showing Angel dancing closely with a masculine-presenting lesbian, prompting reactions and assumptions from social media users.

Taking to Snapchat, Angel made it clear that she’s unfazed by the commentary and has no tolerance for homophobia or societal expectations.

“Local fowl discovers Angel is not homophobic and surprise surprise isn’t concerned about the opinions of strangers,” she wrote, brushing off the backlash with her signature wit.

In her candid post, Angel also tackled the underlying homophobia that often fuels such rumors, challenging the idea that being called a lesbian should be seen as shameful or insulting.

“Calling me a lesbian is not the gag you think it is nor is it an insult,” she said. “Bad news, my fine ass doesn’t care.”

She also pointed out the misplaced priorities of critics, emphasizing that there are far more serious issues plaguing society than speculations about someone’s sexuality.

“Pedophiles are roaming the streets freely, the economy is in shambles, but I should be sad because they called me a lesbian?” she questioned. “It’s like the fuel price is not scary enough for y’all.”

Angel further clarified that the videos in question weren’t leaked or captured secretly, they were intentionally shared by her and her friends.

“This is my life. You didn’t uncover some secret thing. I posted it myself. I let my friends post it. Shocking, but can you imagine? I’m an adult and I can do whatever I like.”

Closing her fiery message, Angel reminded followers that not everyone shares the same values, and that trying to force moral beliefs on others is pointless in the grand scheme of things.

“Did you guys also know that we will die one day, and your opinions will be nothing more than a whisper caught in the wind? Shocking, I know.”

With this defiant statement, Angel continues to embody the fearless energy that made her a fan favorite, never afraid to own her truth and stand up for freedom of identity and expression.
