Burna Boy Says His Upcoming Songs Will Be Exclusively for Concert-Goers

Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has announced a bold new approach to releasing music, one that will cater exclusively to his core supporters.

In a statement posted on the official Instagram page for his upcoming album No Sign of Weakness, the Grammy-winning artist revealed that his next songs will only be accessible to fans who purchase tickets to his concerts.

“The No Sign of Weakness album and any music Burna Boy drops till further notice will strictly be for Burna Boy concert ticket buyers only.
If you don’t fit into that category, go elsewhere. #Respectfully,” the post read.

This move comes as Burna Boy builds anticipation for his eighth studio album. So far, he’s hosted exclusive listening parties in the United States and the UK, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.

The announcement marks a clear shift in how the artist is choosing to engage with his audience, prioritizing those who show up for live experiences. It also suggests an intentional effort to create a more intimate and loyal fan ecosystem, especially as he prepares for his next tour, which he has described as being “just for him and his fans.”

However, this decision might come as a blow to some of his Nigerian fanbase. Burna Boy hasn’t held a headline concert in Nigeria since January 1, 2023, meaning local supporters may not have access to his forthcoming releases unless they travel to see him live.

Despite this, Burna continues to dominate international stages. Just last month, he sold out The Co-op Live in Manchester, the UK’s largest indoor arena. This milestone followed his historic performance at the 80,000-capacity Stade De France in Paris, where he became the first African artist to headline the iconic venue.

As No Sign of Weakness gears up for release, fans can expect a more exclusive musical experience, but only if they’re willing to grab a concert ticket.
