Halle Bailey has obtained a domestic violence restraining order against her ex-boyfriend and the father of her child, rapper DDG, following troubling allegations of physical abuse.

According to TMZ, the Little Mermaid star filed court documents in Los Angeles, detailing a violent encounter with DDG that occurred in January during a custody exchange involving their 18-month-old son, Halo. The two had ended their relationship in October 2024 after dating for a year.
Halle alleges that the confrontation began when she tried to discuss a visitation schedule. As she was buckling Halo into his car seat, DDG allegedly yelled, “Get out of my car, BITCH,” which caused their son to cry. She claims the situation escalated into physical violence, DDG allegedly pulled her hair, slammed her face into the steering wheel, and chipped her tooth.
As evidence, Halle provided the police with photos of a bruised arm, her chipped tooth, and video footage showing DDG smashing her Ring camera and throwing her phone.
The court granted her a restraining order, requiring DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from her and forbidding him from speaking about her or their son in public, including during his livestreams, where Halle claims he has been riling up fans against her.

She was also granted permission to travel with Halo to Italy, where she is scheduled to film for the next two months.
Previously, DDG had accused Halle of not allowing him to see their son, a claim that stirred controversy online. While he hasn’t issued a formal response to the allegations, a clip from a recent livestream shows him visibly frustrated as he reacts to news of the restraining order.
