In the ever-heated atmosphere of Afrobeats stan culture, artists often find themselves caught in the crossfire of fan-driven rivalries. Nigerian music star Iyanya is the latest to step in and shut down rumors suggesting he’s taken sides in the ongoing feud between Wizkid and Davido.
The conversation reignited on social media after an X user, @Akubasteeny, accused Iyanya of abandoning his friendship with Wizkid, who he collaborated with on the 2013 hit Sexy Mama, in favor of publicly supporting Davido.
But Iyanya isn’t here for the drama.
In a quick and composed response, the Kukere crooner addressed the claims head-on, making it clear that he harbors no bad blood toward any artist in the industry.
“I don’t have an issue with any artiste. I played Wizkid’s Made in Lagos and Morayo the same way I play every other artiste’s songs,” he wrote on X, adding that listening to each other’s work is a norm in the creative space.
Iyanya also emphasized the healthy relationships he maintains within the industry, mentioning recent hangouts with Burna Boy and the constant stream of new music he gets introduced to by Ubi Franklin.
He wrapped up his message with a firm call-out to fans who fuel conflict between artists:
“I dey play all and I tell you, me no get enemy o. So make una stop this friend or no friend. Na una fans dey try dey push agenda wey no dey.”
His comments come amid another flare-up in the years-long tension between Davido and Wizkid, a rivalry that has kept fans divided and timelines buzzing for nearly a decade.

But for Iyanya, it’s all love, and he’s choosing unity over division in an industry that thrives better when artists support one another.
