Portable Floors Speed Darlington in Round 1 of Celebrity Boxing Showdown

In a clash that had been hyped for weeks with drama, shade, and even a coffin, controversial street-hop artist Portable knocked out rapper Speed Darlington in the very first round of their much-anticipated celebrity boxing match.

Dubbed Chaos in the Ring: Battle for Glory, the fight took place at the Balmoral Events Centre in Lagos and ended quicker than most fans expected. Portable, real name Habeeb Badmus Okikiola, came in with fire in his fists and didn’t hold back, landing clean shots and dominating the ring from the opening bell.

His opponent, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, had been full of confidence before the fight, even going as far as purchasing a coffin. His bold claim? He’d be carrying Portable out in it after beating him to a pulp. But once the gloves were on, the story flipped.

As fists flew and the crowd roared, it became clear Speedy wasn’t keeping up. The referee called the match in the first round via technical knockout, after Speed Darlington appeared injured and unable to continue.

This win marks Portable’s second straight victory in the celebrity fight scene. Fans may recall his 2023 bout against comedian Charles Okocha, which ended in the fourth round when both men refused to return for a fifth, Portable was awarded the win.

The fight was sanctioned by Heritage Boxing Entertainment and was promoted as a way to help the stars settle personal scores in the ring. For Portable, who claimed to have been cheated out of ₦40 million in a past deal with Okocha, it’s been more than just sport. it’s been about proving a point.

Once again, the street-hop sensation delivered chaos, controversy, and victory, all in a single round.
