I Want to Give Everything”: Osimhen Pledges Loyalty to Galatasaray After Derby Heroics

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has won the hearts of Galatasaray fans—and now, he’s promising to give everything he’s got in return.

Following a thrilling 2-0 victory over arch-rivals Fenerbahce in the Turkish Cup quarterfinal, Osimhen opened up about his deep love for the club and his desire to stay and fight for Galatasaray’s glory.

The 26-year-old Nigerian was the hero of the night, bagging a brace in one of Istanbul’s fiercest derbies and sending the Lions into the semifinals. But beyond the goals and glory, Osimhen’s post-match message stood out: loyalty, gratitude, and passion.

“I Want to Continue Here”

“I want to continue,” Osimhen told Galatasaray’s official website. “As I said in my previous interviews, I liked this club since I came here. I loved the people here; I loved the fans.”

It’s a rare and refreshing declaration in modern football—where loyalty is often fleeting—for a player of Osimhen’s caliber to speak so openly about his bond with a club. And it’s clear his affection for Galatasaray runs deep.

He continued, “I want to respond to their love by working hard. I want to give my everything for this club.”

Redemption After Disappointment

The win over Fenerbahce was especially crucial, coming just a week after Galatasaray suffered a disappointing result against Besiktas. Osimhen admitted the team was determined to make amends.

“We were optimistic when we came. Last week, unfortunately, we made our fans unhappy. We had to play well here to make up for them,” he said.

And that’s exactly what they did.

Osimhen’s two goals, scored in the 10th and 27th minutes, were not just vital—they were symbolic of his hunger and drive to lead Galatasaray to silverware.

A Team Player at Heart

Despite his standout performance, Osimhen was quick to credit his teammates.

“My teammates are very important to me. They are always supportive,” he said. “I wouldn’t have scored those goals if they hadn’t done a lot of important things. I’m grateful to them.”

His humility only adds to his growing legend in Istanbul. With 31 goals already this season for club and country, the Nigerian forward is in scintillating form—but for Osimhen, it’s about more than just numbers.

Eyes on the Prize

Looking ahead, Osimhen emphasized the importance of staying focused.

“Now we will look at the upcoming matches and go game by game,” he stated. “I want to continue my performance. I want to do everything I can for the team.”

With Galatasaray firmly in the hunt for the Turkish Cup and pushing hard in the league, Osimhen’s commitment could be the X-factor that powers them to glory.

Victor Osimhen’s performance against Fenerbahce was not just a statement on the pitch—it was a love letter to Galatasaray and their passionate fans. With his heart fully in the club and his eyes on the future, the Nigerian star looks poised to become a true icon for the Lions. And if his words are anything to go by, Galatasaray supporters can expect many more magical moments from their No. 9.
